P4C After School Club

Children's University Passport

This is a fantastic opportunity for pupils in Years 6/7/8 who enjoy P4C to be part of a free, city-wide, weekly after-school Philosophy for Children (P4C) club.

The club engages children in ‘philosophical enquiry’, discussing such issues as right and wrong, rights and responsibilities, how we know about things and what we value as human beings. The club draws together children from all over Sheffield and Rotherham giving them a chance to learn from each other and to get to know each other better. It is also great fun!

The weekly sessions are currently held on-line on Tuesdays, 4.30pm – 5.45pm with a trained facilitator

Recent club feedback:
‘I have enjoyed having new ideas and hearing other people’s ideas.’
‘I have enjoyed arguing (slightly) and meeting new people.’
‘P4C helps me to pay attention to what thoughts I’m having.’

For parents/carers to book a place for their child or for more details please contact: jane@decsy.org.uk
