P4C After School Club

This is a fantastic opportunity for 11 – 14 year olds (Years 6 – 8) who enjoy P4C to be part of a free, weekly after-school Philosophy for Children (P4C) club.

The club engages children in ‘philosophical enquiry’, discussing such issues as right and wrong, rights and responsibilities, how we know about things and what we value as human beings. The club draws together children from all over the UK and beyond giving them a chance to learn from each other and to get to know each other better. It is also great fun!

To really get a feel for the club here is a short film of current members giving feedback about P4C and the After School club itself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DBHezjJdPU

The weekly sessions are currently held on-line on Tuesdays, 4.30pm – 5.45pm with a trained facilitator.
Dates for summer term 2021 are as follows:
Tuesday 4th May, 11th May, 18th May, 25th May
Tuesday 8th June, 15th June, 22nd June, 29th June

Recent club feedback:
‘I have enjoyed having new ideas and hearing other people’s ideas.’
‘I have enjoyed arguing (slightly) and meeting new people.’
‘P4C helps me to pay attention to what thoughts I’m having.’
