DECSY is pleased to be supporting #PhiloFest for Sheffield, 15th – 20th November. Opportunities for people of all ages to try out informal philosophising. If you enjoy in-depth, thought-provoking, and respectful discussion, this could be for you.
Here is an inspiring video of one of our staff members, Helen Griffin, being interviewed by Year 5 pupils at a school in China around Gender Equality and P4C.
Join Sheffield Children’s University’s Festival of Fun this summer and join us for a FUN packed Philosophy for Children session this August.
At DECSY most, if not all, of our curriculum development projects have P4C (Philosophy for Communities / Children) at their heart. See Helen Griffin’s blog describing the use of P4C as part of the Nonviolent Action: A Force for Change project: https://www.thinktogethersheffield.org/post/nonviolent-action-a-force-for-change
Our Philosophy for Children on-line After School Club runs on Tuesdays, 4.30pm – 5.45pm, and is now available for credits from Sheffield Children’s University.
Our latest Annual Report is available here. A great overview of our activities during 2020.
