Participants will receive a free copy of the newly published book: ‘Gender Equality in Primary Schools‘ A guide for teachers, written by Helen Griffin (published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers).

This course will give participants an opportunity to:
• Consider the relevance of gender equality work in their schools – both primary and secondary ages (including how it relates to statutory guidance)

• Develop gender equality across the school

• Discuss the theory on how children develop gender identities

• Try out some activities and ideas developed and trialled by teachers from our Gender Respect Project for exploring gender equality in a global context with children aged 3-14
