Southern Artist Service
The Southern Artist for Development service uses the affective power of experienced artists / educators from countries of the 'South' (Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean), supported by quality resources to:
- Celebrate the diversity and complexity of other cultures
- Challenge the negative preconceptions about people from nations of the 'South'
- Raise understanding about world development issues such as the causes and consequences of global injustice, the importance of alleviating poverty and promoting sustainable development
- Encourage a greater commitment to global citizenship in the school community
DECSY members receive a 10% discount.
